Community fundraising
Over the last 3 years we have supported a number of charities and clubs who have needed assistance with Fundraising. These include:
local charity support in tauranga
As a Breast Cancer Survivor, I wanted to give back to a local Charity, so I chose to support women in NZ who have experienced Breast Cancer . In 2021 we contacted The Tauranga Breast Cancer Support Service and offered our help for fundraising to give back to our local community.
During the NZ Lockdown, we devised a campaign to donate $5 per myhoody sold online from our Website over a 3 month period during the Lockdown months to support the Tauranga Breast Cancer Support Service.
We raised just over $6600 for the charity via a donation from our online sales and this Donation is being used to provide support meals and packs to women who are experiencing Breast Cancer.
We also support other Fundraising initiatives and have recently donated products as prize packs for the 100’ks in 30 days fundraising challenge. All money raised goes directly to Breast Cancer Support Services across NZ to support those going through breast cancer in our communities.
our current fundraising
We are raising funds for the Boobops Dragon Boat Team of Tauranga.
This amazing team of women paddlers in Tauranga are all Breast Cancer Survivors and train very hard to compete at the NZ and Worldwide Regattas.
The Team Manager of BooBops contacted me to enquire about our Myhoodys range for the team and we were delighted to offer a Team Discounted Hoody to all their Paddlers.
We are currently donating $2 per Myhoody sold online to the team, to raise funds for new equipment for the Dragon Boats Teams. So far we have donated $8055 to the team.
From our Donation contributions $3250 has been put towards the purchase of an entirely new paddles set that cost over $8300 to purchase.
Further donations assist the team to travel to regattas, fund team accommodation and replacement equipment.
The teams competed at the Dragon Boat Regionals, Nationals and International Breast Cancer Survivors Regatta and are now training every week at Sulphur Point Tauranga towards the 2024 Regional and Nationals Events in Karapiro this summer season.
