You well ask, how do we come up with our Colours for Myhoody?
We think about all the beautiful colours that surround us in the world and colour can influence how we feel when we wear them.
We also think about the influences of people on our lives who have contributed to our personal growth and how that has made us feel.
We think about Primary Colours, Fashion Colours, Colours of Nature and we custom design each Myhoody Colour.
New to our 2022 range this year is Purple Rain & Flax Green.
Purple Rain
Purple is a spiritual colour and my birth mum Mary Davie loved her pinks and purples. She would wear pink, grow pink and purple flowers and enjoy wearing Purple clothing. Purple inspires creativity, a colour that resonates with creative souls, and encourages self-knowledge. Purple also evokes sensuality and relates closely to femininity.
We dedicate this new colour to my birth Mother Mary Davie who passed away in 1999. Mary dedicated many years and hours of service to her beloved community in Whangamata and I was fortunate and blessed to have met her and spent time with her and husband Bob Davie and to meet my half brothers Daniel and Christopher who grew up in Whangamata.
Mary Davie was honoured in 2001 by Surfing NZ for her contribution to NZ Surfing and the NZ Scholastics Junior Surfing

These life members have helped in all areas of the sport from leading the organisation as volunteers, leading vital initiatives that have shaped the sport, junior development and being great ambassadors for New Zealand surfing.
To honour her memory, we dedicate this new Purple colour to Mary, and we hope that you feel embraced when wearing our new PurpleRain Myhoody.
This year we are again sponsoring the Coromandel Scholastics Surfing Team with our new Flax Green and Purple Rain Hoodys and we wish the team all the best of luck at your 2022 competition.
Flax Green
Our new Kiwiana colour that is a soft light green like our native flax of new Zealand and a colour that blends in with our NZ bush, and beach environments. Soft
Green is a colour pervasive in the natural environment that says renewing refreshing and regenerating. It represents balance growth, learning and harmony. It’s a very down to earth colour so enjoy your summer adventures in our new Flax Green Myhoody.
